Did you get your pictures taken yesterday? Did you enjoy going on the photo scavenger hunt? Why do you think I had you take those types of pictures?

We got our pictures taken yesterday. I thought that the scavenger hunt was fun, but some of the photos were hard to find something for. I think you had us take those types of pictures so we could learn to take different kinds of photos. I also think that we are going to do a project with them.

What do you know about photography? When you take pictures what kind of camera do you use? Do you use your cell phone? Do you own a digital camera that is not your cell phone? Explain.

I know that photography is taking pictures. I also know that there are many different ways to create a photo. When I take pictures it is either with my cell phone or a digital camera. Usually it is my cell phone, but when it is a special occasion or when we are on vacation we use a digital camera.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

For Spring Break I went to Washington D.C. with my family. On our first night in Washington D.C. it was very cold and windy. We went on a night monument tour and it was really cool. We stopped at the FDR Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the the Korean War Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. While we were being driven around Washington D.C. we saw a lot of other buildings and monuments that were really cool. Over the next couple of days we went on lots of tours and went to a lot of museums and Smithsonians. One of my favorite parts of the trip is when we went to Mount Vernon. It was so pretty. It was also really cool seeing George Washington's house and learning more about the history of his family and life. We also went to Georgetown and  visited Georgetown University. Georgetown is really pretty with all of its townhouses and old buildings. The university was also really pretty. There were lots of old stone building surrounded by beautiful landscaping. On our last night in Washington D.C.it snowed 7 or 8 inches. The next day almost the entire city was shutdown because of the snow. It was really boring and so that is when we visited Georgetown University. Visiting Washington D.C. was lots of fun and a really coo experience.

Prepare yourself... I want you to really THINK about this blog post. I mean use your brain. What is the significance of an infographic? What is the point of pairing graphics and information together? What impact can this have on a reader or viewer. EXPLAIN.

The significance of an infographic is to display information in a creative way about a topic. This information is displayed alongside graphics that are significant to the information being presented. The point of pairing graphics and information together is to make it easier for the reader to understand the information that is being presented by providing them with an icon that they can relate the information to. An infographic can impact a viewer by providing them with simple but helpful information about a topic that they don't know much about.

Global Warming Infographic

If you had the option of writing a 3 page paper or creating an infographic - which one would you choose? Explain yourself.

I would choose to create an infographic. I would choose to create an infographic because it is more interesting than writing a three page paper. It is also a more fun way to present more information, and it is more fun to make.
